Probability Theory

The term probability comes from Latin probabilitas and probabilis meaning "provable, credible", and from probare meaning "to test, demonstrate".

The probability theory is trying to find an answer to the question of "What is the correct decision when dealing with an uncertain situation given the limited information about what is going to happen."
